Subscription Sunday #4

This week I'd like to introduce you to a very nice person who does nail tutorials. Her channel is kawaiinails, and she does really cute and pretty tutorials. She also shares her favorite polishes of the moment and vlogs sometimes. She also has a blog! I will post all of her links below along with one of her videos. I really enjoy her tutorials. I'm not sure if I've tried any of them yet, but they seem pretty simple to do. They're mostly Asian inspired designs, but even if you aren't into that I'm sure you'll still find something you like. All of her designs are super pretty, so check out her channel and her blog! :)

Subscription Sunday(Monday) #3

Hello! I hope you're doing well if you're reading this. I also hope that you checked out BriBry, who was featured here last week. This week I'm going in a new direction. I decided to talk about one of my favorite YouTubers, What the Buck?! Michael Buckley is the host of the What the Buck Show on YouTube and he's pretty popular. He covers celebrity gossip, does television show recaps, some select movie reviews, and he's hilarious! He also has another channel where he does vlogs and a segment called Dear Buck where he gives advice. I don't know what there is to even say about him because he's so great. He has over 1 million subscribers already, but if you haven't heard of him then you should check him out! He can be a little overwhelming at times so if you have a headache I suggest waiting until that goes away to watch him. He's loud, happy, and gay, so if you have a problem with that then just move on. I'll post his most important links below(he has a lot) and a video from What the Buck and also Dear Buck from his second channel! Check him out and subscribe!

Nail Lust

Good day :) I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and kind of stressed out about all of the projects and assignments I have due so I felt like I needed a blogging break. I'm just sitting here in my dorm room listening to the Bee Gees, who are my new favorite band. Seriously, you need to look up some of the Bee Gees music besides Stayin' Alive! They are amazing! I want their song How Deep Is Your Love played at my wedding. While I'm listening to them I was just looking at and I really want to get my nails done. I want to have pretty Asian 3D nails with bows and lace and jewels and everything pretty! I was also looking at the Kawaii Nails webstore and I am so drooling over all the nails! I need them! Please enjoy the pictures below :)

Hello again! :) I did my nails yesterday night with my newest nail polish. It's Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mint Sorbet. I love it! I've been seeing minty colors a lot lately and I really wanted to try it out. I just added little white bows with black lining and little rhinestones in the middle. This design is similar to my Simple Bows look. I don't have much to say about this except it was really easy to do and I love this color! It makes me feel very summery. I suppose that's all, so have a nice day :)

Subscription Sunday #2

Hello! I'm sorry this isn't really being posted or written on sunday, but it was my birthday so I kind of forgot until just now. Last sunday I featured Harry and Alfie, and this sunday I'll be featuring one of their friends BriBry! BriBry is a very charming person who is doing a "Things To Do Before You Die" series of videos on YouTube. Like last week, I'll post all his links and one of his videos below. The money he makes from his channel goes towards keeping his series running and cancer research because one of his good friends, who recently passed away, was suffering from cancer. Currently, he's traveling around the world. I highly reccomend giving his videos a watch! I watched all of them in one day because they were so fun and BriBry is a really funny and nice person. BriBry also does music, which is pretty good stuff. I hope you check him out and enjoy his videos!

Subscription Sunday #1

Good day to whoever is reading this! Hopefully somebody is reading this. I've decided to start a weekly post every sunday where I'll feature a channel on YouTube that I really enjoy and think you should check out. I'm subscribed to 111 channels, so I'm sure I'll always have someone to feature. I'd like to start out by introducing HarryAlfieHudson. They were on WhatTheBuck's revived series Buck Factor, and I needed to see more from them! Harry and Alfie are two brothers from Ireland who are amazing musicians. They do great indie music, both covers and originals. This is the song that was featured on WhatTheBuck. I'll also post all of their links below. I really hope you enjoy their videos as much as I do :)

Purple Velvet

I haven't posted here about my new favorite shoes, and I'm in a blogging mood so I thought I might as well. Here they are. I finally got the Jessica Simpson Dany platform and I couldn't be happier with them! They are so high and comfortable and I want to wear them everywhere, everyday, every minute. They're a lot easier to walk in than one would think. Sadly, I left them at home after spring break because I figured I wouldn't be wearing them anywhere. If you are a shoe lover and/or collector then you really need to get these shoes in your collection. They are amazing! They come in black, brown, metallic silver, plum velvet, and a grey snakeskin. When I ordered mine the price was down to $48.99 plus $7.00 shipping, which was awesome compared to their price when they first came out. They were about $90, I think. The colors and sizes are starting to get pretty limited so if you want these shoes, get your butt to!
Have a nice day :)

Looking a Little Green

Here are my nails for St. Patrick's Day! I saw the diagonal green nails on google when I was looking for ideas so that's where that came from. I thought I was going to do the lucky charms from the cereal, but I didn't think it was festive enough so I did a four leaf clover and a leprechaun. I really like how these turned out, especially the green. I'd like to do this again sometime :) I hope you had a fun and safe St. Patty's Day weekend!

The Jellicle Ball

I am going to see the musical Cats tomorrow! I was feeling inspired by my panda nails to do cat nails the same way, so this is what I did. I took pictures of the process because I was thinking of doing a tutorial on YouTube and I thought I could post it here too.

First I painted the tips and my index fingers black.

After they dried I used my black Art Deco to paint the ears on, but you can also use a toothpick.

Next, I used a toothpick to dot on the eyes and noses. I also used a toothpick to make the big yellow eyes on my index fingers. When the yellow circles were still sticky I just dragged the end of the toothpick through it to make a slit, like a cat's eye. You can also let them dry completely then use a toothpick to paint a black line for the slit.

Then you just finish it off with your favorite top coat. That's all it takes! It was really easy to do and didn't take long at all. The yellow eyes aren't really the shape I wanted them to be, but I'm too lazy to go back an fix them. I wanted them to look like the cat's eyes from the posters of Cats, but this will do for me :) These would also be good for Halloween.
That's all I have to say for today, so thanks for reading and have a nice day :)

I felt like doing something simple with my nails, so this is what I decided on! I found a few pictures of panda tip nails and saved them to my computer so I just referred to them and photos of actual pandas. I was going to do regular french tips, but I wasn't doing anything important and I was feeling creative so I did these. I used a tooth pick for the ears, eyes, and noses. I think it took about a half an hour or more so it was a little time consuming, but it was still pretty easy. So, if you're looking for something that's simple but has a little something extra then you should really give this a try! :)

Skip to the Beat of my Heart

These are my Valentine's Day nails! I was looking at a lot of pictures for inspiration and I came across this image of Lady Gaga on my friend's facebook. I really liked the heart on her ring finger so I decided to give it a try. I was at Walmart today and saw a really pretty pink sparkley nail polish and it just so happened to be from the Justin Bieber collection. I thought it would be perfect for Valentine's Day so I got it. It's the Step to the Beat of my Heart polish. It's a little difficult to get the little hearts on your nail with just the brush so I used a toothpick to place them on my nails. I also used a toothpick to paint the hearts on my ring fingers. I'm sure a dotting tool would work well too, but I don't have one of them. So, this is what I came up with for my Valentine's Day nail design. It's simple and very easy to do :)

Simple Bows

This was just a last minute idea I had. I was planning on doing ninjas but I messed up and didn't feel like taking off my black polish, so I decided to do the rest of my nails pink and put little pink bows on the black. The pink is Milani and the black is just a little Bonne Bell. I used a hot pink from LA Colors Art Deco for the bows, and the white dot on the bows is also Bonne Bell.
This is probably the easiest design I've ever done besides tips. I really like how they turned out.

Purple and Grey

This is the simple design I did for the first week of the spring 2011 semester. I originally painted them the base color, which is Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in the color Gunmetal. The bottle was my sister's and I painted them at home, so when I got back to school they chipped at the top. I was going to take off the polish and paint them a whole new color, but I decided to just cover the chipped parts with my purple nail polish. Then I ended up adding a little black stripe with my Art Deco polish and here is the final result.

Moral of the story: If you really like your nail color and it chips, and you don't have that color on hand, just paint tips of a different color, and add stripe.

These were painted for my birthday. I went pretty simple with the magenta tips and just put little cupcakes on my ring fingers.

In a Dream we are Connected

These nails were inspired by my favorite band, The Smashing Pumpkins. This is one of my favorite nail designs I've ever done.

I've decided to start posting my current nail art and give my archives a rest until it's the right time of year for that design. That way I'll have more than one design to post for Halloween and Christmas if I'm still doing this blog by then (hopefully I will be and I will have at least one follower).

Bow Bracelet + ring DIY

Good evening :) Yesterday I made a leather bow bracelet and today I made a leather bow ring using my mom's ripped Nine West bag. Actually I made two bracelets and gave the first one to my sister because it was too small. I'm pretty proud of how they all came out, so I thought I'd post it here on my blog(even though nobody reads it lol).

I made them using the following videos:
