Purple Velvet

I haven't posted here about my new favorite shoes, and I'm in a blogging mood so I thought I might as well. Here they are. I finally got the Jessica Simpson Dany platform and I couldn't be happier with them! They are so high and comfortable and I want to wear them everywhere, everyday, every minute. They're a lot easier to walk in than one would think. Sadly, I left them at home after spring break because I figured I wouldn't be wearing them anywhere. If you are a shoe lover and/or collector then you really need to get these shoes in your collection. They are amazing! They come in black, brown, metallic silver, plum velvet, and a grey snakeskin. When I ordered mine the price was down to $48.99 plus $7.00 shipping, which was awesome compared to their price when they first came out. They were about $90, I think. The colors and sizes are starting to get pretty limited so if you want these shoes, get your butt to!
Have a nice day :)

Looking a Little Green

Here are my nails for St. Patrick's Day! I saw the diagonal green nails on google when I was looking for ideas so that's where that came from. I thought I was going to do the lucky charms from the cereal, but I didn't think it was festive enough so I did a four leaf clover and a leprechaun. I really like how these turned out, especially the green. I'd like to do this again sometime :) I hope you had a fun and safe St. Patty's Day weekend!

The Jellicle Ball

I am going to see the musical Cats tomorrow! I was feeling inspired by my panda nails to do cat nails the same way, so this is what I did. I took pictures of the process because I was thinking of doing a tutorial on YouTube and I thought I could post it here too.

First I painted the tips and my index fingers black.

After they dried I used my black Art Deco to paint the ears on, but you can also use a toothpick.

Next, I used a toothpick to dot on the eyes and noses. I also used a toothpick to make the big yellow eyes on my index fingers. When the yellow circles were still sticky I just dragged the end of the toothpick through it to make a slit, like a cat's eye. You can also let them dry completely then use a toothpick to paint a black line for the slit.

Then you just finish it off with your favorite top coat. That's all it takes! It was really easy to do and didn't take long at all. The yellow eyes aren't really the shape I wanted them to be, but I'm too lazy to go back an fix them. I wanted them to look like the cat's eyes from the posters of Cats, but this will do for me :) These would also be good for Halloween.
That's all I have to say for today, so thanks for reading and have a nice day :)
